The following are the System Requirements for BRADD.
The
drive selected to install the BRADD software should have at least 625 Mb free.
The
drive selected to run BRADD from (where the data is stored) requires 8 to 14 Mb
for each completed BRADD job.
The
Workstation PC must be running Windows 2000 or Windows XP Professional
operating system. BRADD is not supported on Windows Vista.
It is
recommended that Adobe Acrobat Reader is installed prior to installing BRADD.
BRADD
has two non-critical dependencies on Microsoft Office. Microsoft Excel is used
to assist with calculations of the number of drains and for the review of the
designer checklist. Microsoft Word is used for the "Microsoft Word Form"
option to both the "BRADD Technical Questions" and the "BRADD Revision
Requests" on the "Help" pull-down menu. Microsoft Office 2000 or newer
must be installed in order for these to work properly. However, BRADD
can be run without using these features.
Microsoft Office 2000
or newer must be installed in order for assisted calculations of the number of
drains and the other is the "Microsoft Word Form" option for "BRADD Technical
Questions" and "BRADD Revision Requests".
If
MicroStation is to be used with BRADD to generate DGN format design files,
verify that either MicroStation J, or MicroStation V8 (including XM edition), or PowerDraft J, or
Bentley PowerDraft V8 (including XM edition) is installed prior to installing BRADD.
If
MicroStation is to be used with BRADD, verify that the PENNDOT Font 5 and 25
are installed in MicroStation.
If
Interplot (IPLOT) is to be used to plot MicroStation DGN files, verify that
the IPLOT organizer is already installed.
If DXF output is to be used with BRADD, a CADD application which can interpret DXF files should be installed on the BRADD workstation(s). This CADD application (e.g. AutoCAD) will not be used directly through BRADD, but can be used as a Windows file-association for opening DXF files.
